Legal
Data Protection
GardenFeast is committed to handling personal data responsibly and in line with Ghana's Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) and the Data Protection Commission's guidance. This page summarises how we apply its principles.
Our principles
- Lawfulness & consent: we collect data with a clear basis and, where required, your consent.
- Purpose limitation: we use data only for the purposes we tell you about — running the marketplace, payments, logistics and finance.
- Minimisation: we collect only what we need.
- Accuracy: we keep data up to date and let you correct it.
- Security: encryption in transit, access controls, and routine review.
- Retention: we keep data only as long as necessary for the service and legal record-keeping.
Your rights
Under Act 843 you may, subject to legal limits:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- request correction of inaccurate data;
- request deletion or restriction of processing;
- object to processing, including direct marketing; and
- complain to the Data Protection Commission of Ghana.
International transfers
Where we use service providers outside Ghana (for example, cloud hosting), we put appropriate safeguards in place so your data remains protected to the same standard.
